Overview:
Currently we are looking for Part Time Patient, Food Service Supervisors (FSS) to help deliver the best services at an Acute Care/Hospital in Woodstock.
Duties:
The Supervisor will assist in delivering best results and will be involved in all aspects of the patient food services operations, including purchasing, production, assembly, distribution, and sanitation. Incumbent will plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the department, establishing and maintaining standards of quality of services. S/he will assist with managing personnel, food and equipment costs and will delegate responsibilities and duties to others in the department. Also, they will assist in the training of staff, implementing and managing performance improvement program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of inventory and procurement for the patient food services department, ensuring also purchased products meet specifications. FSS will oversee the implementation and maintenance of the healthcare food services IT system.
Required Qualifications (please only apply if you meet all required qualifications):
· Great Attitude!
· Excellent customers and clients relationship skills
· Food and Nutrition Management Diploma from an approved Community College and/or university degree in Food Service and Nutrition.
· Member of Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
· Minimum of 1 year in an intermediate food service management role.
· Proven excellence in financial management.
· Previous food service supervisory/purchasing and IT systems experience.
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
· Strong supervisory, leadership and coaching skills, excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Assets:
· CBORD or equivalent
· Previous experience in a healthcare environment
