As a member and partner of the household care delivery team, the RSU social worker participates in a wide variety of duties in the provision of social work services to the resident community. In addition, demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife and recognize members dignity and choice in aspects of daily life. Work with team to meet all needs of the member by actively participating in activities, work and the social environment. Strive to make every encounter with a member into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while providing safe and efficient quality of care. This position will assist the resident and family with admission to RSU and ongoing adjustment issues, prepare psychosocial assessments, provide individual counseling, establish and maintain support groups, complete Social Service Section of the MDS and any other required documentation, collaborate with team, and arrange for ancillary services to name a few.
Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work with current Massachusetts license as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual. Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor, excellent oral and written communication skills, good intuition and able to adapt to changing priorities and display good, sound judgment with a sense of humor.
